It is with much sadness that I report the death of Paul Owsianka. Paul was one of the most enthusiastic windsurfers in the area, sailing regularly in Exmouth, Minehead and Burnham amongst other locations. His job in the quarrying industry gave him the flexibility to fit in a windsurfing session during the working day, and he was a master at getting on the water in double quick time. Paul absolutely loved his windsurfing and was always extremely friendly and helpful to other sailors at the beach; he will be sorely missed. He suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm on 11 March, and leaves behind a wife and two young sons to whom we offer our deepest sympathy.
Paul’s wife Nicky would welcome any of Paul’s friends at his funeral which is on Thursday 27 March at 1:30PM at St Georges Church, Ruishton near Taunton. Any donations will be given to the RNLI and a medical charity.
