Top Tips For Wild Swimming

There is no denying that wild swimming has become HUGE in the last couple of years. Perhaps one positive to come out of Covid and the lockdowns? People had to become resourceful with how they got their exercise with all gyms and leisure centres being shut. There was also a massive push on mental health during the pandemic, with open water swimming being at the forefront as a natural medicine for all things body and mind.

We are lucky enough in Exmouth to have such easy access to the sea. But wild swimming can also include any natural body of water: rivers, ponds, lakes…. Whether you’re a ‘quick 5 min dip’ type of person or a ‘clock 3k before breakfast’ swimmer, it really doesn’t matter. The main thing is that you’re out there!

As well as being great for your health, it’s an amazingly social thing and a perfect way to meet like minded people and have some fun.
