Guy gets Bronze for GB at the World Beach Games in Qatar last week. A light wind 4 day regatta amongst other sports being represented, Kitefoil Racing was a men/ woman split in a 2 day qualifying series followed by a 2 day knock out. Conditions were far from ideal with 33degree water temperature, 35 degree air temperature & a fickle 5 / 6knot desert wind. Both Olly & Steph had a poor qualifying day in the marginal winds, meanwhile Guy took the team all the way. A more tricky selection in the semi final did not phase the 20year old riding his 21mtr flysurfer sonic race kite. Stealing the victory in the semi to take him into the final in a dropping wind, Guy managed to keep in the fight and bring back Bronze for GB. A really interesting experience for all the team to not only represent team GB but also witness the other new sports in an olympic arena
