BSUPA LVL 1 Paddleboarding Instructor Training Course (ITC) Advanced

This is a 2 day course – click here for next available dates and bookings – and is open to all paddleboarders of a suitable standard of riding (see below).  The course introduces the BSUPA Ready to Ride teaching scheme and the different stages of learning. It demonstrates how to teach, be safe, in control of groups, manage the beach and much more. Being an instructor is a rewarding job and this course is jam packed full of info to become the ultimate paddleboarding instructor.

Prerequisites

1. Current member of BSUPA (join here)
2. Minimum age 18
3. Valid First Aid qualification (not required prior to commencement of the course but BSUPA certificate will not be issued until evidence of a first aid qualification is submitted – contact us if you require a first aid qualification as we may be able to help)
4. Riding ability, competent on a range of boards – be able to demo-short paddle strokes, step back and reverse paddle turns- board 360s body 360s foot and paddle steering, basics push turns and paddle boarding in reverse
5. Minimum 40 hours SUP experience before course
