Daily report
Saturday 19th August :

Now this really is the first  light wind day for the first time in a while.  Perfect for a bit of kayak or paddle boarding.  High tide is about 7.30 this evening which may be wakeboard heaven if you have the kit!   Good deals on discounted kites, bars, wetsuits etc in the shop.  Have a great day.

Round 2 of the British champs took place over the weekend on Hayling island. The youth academy had 8 riders compete with 4 of them ending up on the podiums.

Bridge Tom 1st pro men
Stan hart 1st junior men
Ben Daffin 3rd junior men
Rachael Hooper 1st junior women

Three days of great wind saw this year’s Virgin Kitesurfing Armada Festival 2017 run as one of the best UK events in memory. The likes of Nick Jacobsen, Aaron Hadlow, Sam Light, Gisela Pulido and Tom Court were on hand at the event, but it was also the stage for round two of the BKC national championship.

Conditions on Sunday were epic with solid 20 – 25 knot winds but also a huge shore-break making conditions challenging for all involved, but especially the juniors for whom the scale of the waves were of course twice the size!
It was another great turnout for the BKC with almost 50 riders across all categories

Great work too everyone that competed on the weekend you did us proud !
