Wakeboarding is one of the fastest growing extreme water sports in the world. It's a combination of snowboarding, waterskiing, skateboarding and surfing. The thrill of being towed behind a boat similar to water skiing but on a wakeboard, allows for an amazing sensation of speed, adrenaline and endless enjoyment. Once you have mastered standing up on the board the sport becomes as versatile as you want to make it, with a range of different boards for all styles of riding and an ever growing list of tricks and manoeuvres to work towards.
Wakeboarding becomes a sport that once learnt helps with many other sports, such as kitesurfing. The 2 key elements of kitesurfing are the board and the kite, wakeboarding teaches you the board skills that become fundamental in kitesurfing, whether learning or an advanced rider.
Wakeboarding becomes an ideal platform for those wishing to progress through their sports. Surfers use their surf boards behind the boat and have an endless wave which is what most surfers would dream about.
