Tarifa Micro Adventure

With snow on the ground in Exeter Airport, NE winds 25knots & sub zero temps we took a 06.15 Dixon airways flight aboard a 4 seater private jet to Gibraltar. Mark, Ray, David and myself as coach we had every minute filled with action since we were returning back to the uk on Wednesday afternoon.

Landing at 11am on Monday in Spain we took our car loaded with kitesurfing equipment & headed for the capital of kitesurfing & windsurfing. Tarifa was buzzing – sunny & onshore winds with a building tide was ideal for Ray & David to gain some valuable learning on the flat water with smooth wind. How much more fun this sport is when its warm! Mark meanwhile took some great waves strapless on the sea & blasted between the sea & the inland lagoon.

Tuesday was blowing 25-35knots & solid rain: strangely enough we had the lagoon to ourselves & enjoyed a few hours in survival conditions testing all our bodies & equipment to the max! The final morning we had a cracking NW wind, sunshine & waves. Combined with some special pig, Tapa’s Bars, The Barca V Milan game, far too many units of alcohol and some great stories this was another superb micro adventure sharing our passion for the ocean & the elements.
