Mauritius Watersports Week

When an opportunity like this rolls along you have to say Yes! How lucky were Eric & I to have the opportunity to go to Mauritius & do a week coaching The group boarded the air Mauritius flight arriving at 7am in the morning to a pumping swell & decent SE wind. Day 1 was just how we both remember-“Manawa & One Eye working well & only a handful of kiters on these sections. We had enough going on ensuring the group were working on wave skills on the small reef or the beginners were getting progression on the lagoon. The group was mixed and this day was just full of Mauritian memories. We had a small idea that we were staying somehwere pretty special, however this place was simply OFF the scale! The St. Regis is based to the lee of “one-Eye” and our Villa overlooked it! It was just the most incredible place to stay and everything about it we shall never in our lifetime experience ever again! We were 8 of us in total and we all had rooms with the same classic view (overlooking one-eye), your own swimming pool and the bathroom felt bigger than the whole downstairs of our house!  We had trade wind switch off for the rest of the stay with only a couple of other sessions of kitesurfing. Howeverthe waves were just perfect to Stand Up Paddle Surf and everyone spent hours learning & enjoying this. Mauritius is a magical place with so much beauty and if you enjoy all watersports it really must be on your list of journeys to make!

There is one thing for sure, we hope to go back again sometime!
