THE EDGE RACE CUP- 6th - 7th of June 2015

In its 6th Year of running the Edge Race Cup will host the Kite Race Foil & Formula British Championships. The Kite Race Formula will also be a 50 Point IKA sanctioned event and provides a superb opportunity for the Formula class to ride with Current European & multiple championship winner Olly Bridge on his own spot. Olly leads the ISAF Sailing World Cup Ranking and is using the event as a warm up to the Weymouth Sailing World Cup invitational that happens 9-12th June.

Unique to this years Edge Race Cup, the event sits alongside the ISAF Sailing World Cup and therefore it will attract the worlds Top racers who will compete for the British Championship Tittle. Already, entries have come in from France, Germany, Ireland & Poland.

With a growing area of the sport - Hydro-foiling is the latest and greatest to be shown off Exmouth also during this weekend.

'Flying' across the water in silence reaching ridiculous speeds, crashes & close quarters action. The Foil British Champion will be crowned during the weekend and many will want to beat their previous result & attempt to beat age 15 year old Guy Bridge who is showing no signs of holding back his skills.

Alongside this event, the Edge Race Cup hosts the Open Kitesurf class which will involve a distance race, some fun twin tip races & the chance for everyone to get involved on the water.

The weekend's activity will take place off Exmouth Seafront - queens drive car park (maybe add that is is the proposed site for the new watersports centre in exmouth )
