We are very lucky in Exmouth to have access to kitesurfing and windsurfing on both Exmouth Seafront as well as Exmouth Duckpond, both of these spots have their advantages with Exmouth Duckpond offering some of the best kitesurfing and windsurfing conditions in Devon, with large areas of flat and shallow water this is ideal for beginners as well as experienced riders. The Duckpond is best 2-3 hours before high water but will still be good all the way to 1-2 hrs after high water with the best winds being a North Westerly (NW) but it is also good on a West (W).
Exmouth Seafront is for the more experienced kitesurfers and windsurfers due to the large amount of tides that runs along the seafront. The Seafront offers a great mixture of butter flat water as well as some great waves to practice your waveriding skills on. The best wind for Exmouth seafront is South West (SW), South (S) and South East (SE) winds. As for the tide 3 hours before low water is best with it being good all the way up to low water.
