Edge Riders Dominate at AYR BKSA event

If you didnt know its a long way from Exmouth to Ayr in Scotland (about 1000 miles round trip) so there was a fair bit of discussion on the merits of the long trip up north this last weeekend.  Add to that a wind forecast that wasnt that hopefull giving 3-10 knots,  fortunately we forgot all those negative ideas and got on the road north.

As with the weather forecast in Exmouth for most of the summer we actually got good wind on all 3 days in Scotland and a full competion was completed.  In the pro Mens division Ned did brilliantly just missing out on first place to get a great second place finish.  This still leaves him leading this years standings heading into the final event.

In the juniors (under 15) Tom made it straight through to the final from the heats.  Guy had to get there the hard way sailing  3 heats in a row to make the final.  Once there the final saw light winds that suited young Toms stature seeing him put in a great perfromance with many cleanly executed tricks giving him 1st place.  Guy was a bit underpowered for most of the final and failied to land some of his more technical moves leaving him in a great 3rd place.

The presure was now fully on Oliver to maintain the performance.  In very light conditions oliver got through 2 heats to make the final.  When there  he made it pay by out performing his competitors and duly claimed 1st place not bad when you are only 13 in the under 19 divison!

Steph couldnt help herself getting in on the act beating the men and claiming 1st place in the racing division. Nicky Rudd who used to work at Edge also did briliantly coming second in the ladies Freestyle.

All in all a great series of results and much to work on for the final event at Blackpool in about a month ( thankfully only a short drive this time!!!!!)
